Precision 3D-Printed Parts and Scan-to-CAD Engineering

Engineer-led 3D printing and scan-to-CAD in Easton, PA, from a former NASA Johnson Space Center contractor. Low-volume parts, fixtures, and reverse engineering for commercial, industrial, and government customers.

STAR-M makes custom parts in engineering-grade polymers, digitizes existing parts with 3D scanning, and turns the scans into clean CAD models. We work with no tooling costs and fast turnaround, which suits small batches, replacement parts, and prototypes.

What We Do

Services

Part with no drawing, or no longer made? We scan it and rebuild it as an editable CAD model that can be modified, reproduced, or printed.

You ship to us. We scan and reproduce, and send the original and reproduced item back to you.

Polymer parts made to your drawing, file, or sample: brackets, covers, spacers, jigs, fixtures, and flexible seals. Choose from PLA+, PETG, ASA, TPU, and PA-CF, from one-offs to small batches.

Upload your file, and we can print and ship (or hand-deliver within our service area).

We bring a blue-laser 3D scanner to your location, so parts and equipment that can't be moved can still be digitized.

Within about 100 miles of Easton, PA, with travel built into your quote.

We print polymers only, not metal, and we do not hold aerospace quality certifications yet. If a part needs a certified process, we will say so up front.

Straight about our limits

Most printed parts ship in 3 to 5 business days. Rush printing with local delivery is available in 48 hours when you supply a print-ready file.

Fast turnaround

For equipment that cannot be moved, we bring the scanner to you, within about 100 miles of Easton, PA.

We come to you

Parts are printed straight from your file, drawing, or scan, so there is no mold or tooling charge and no minimum order. One part is fine.

Why STAR-M

Problems We Solve

Every part we make starts with a problem like one of these:

The Cracked Bracket

A specialist is working on a vehicle and the plastic dashboard bracket has cracked. It's obsolete — the manufacturer doesn't sell it anymore, and nothing online quite fits. We print an exact replacement from a photo or the broken piece itself, usually within a few days.

The Down Machine

A floor manager's 50-year-old equipment just went down over a broken plastic part — no drawing, no CAD file, no one left who remembers who made it. Every hour it's offline costs money. We scan the part, rebuild it as an editable CAD model, and print a replacement.

The Secured Part

A facilities manager needs a part scanned, but it's bolted into a machine that can't be shut down long enough to remove — or it can't leave a secure site at all. We bring the scanner to them and capture it in place.

The Custom Part

You have a sketch, a few measurements, or a drawing, and a part that has to fit. We model it in CAD from your dimensions, print a first version for you to test, and revise it as needed. Design-heavy jobs are quoted per project.
